A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING

A New Awareness

As with any journey of discovery, there comes a time when you must leave the comfort of what you know as a light-hearted view of life to explore the true nature of your reality. With this in mind comes the realization that this newsletter must now begin to evolve to present more in-depth information so that you can further your own journey of discovery and kindle within the curiosity to explore your own spiritual truths and path.

Unconditional Love

How elusive the most desired of all loves can be .... to find and experience true unconditional love is a dream held by every person. Understanding unconditional love is very different then experiencing it. We so desire it in our lives but find it difficult to love in this fashion. For to love unconditionally we must relinquish all control, all desires, all whims and wants and be totally open and in a sense vulnerable. As humans it is a state we desire but one we fear.

We all have a version of what we think unconditional love is but do we really understand the ramifications and reality of that kind of love. As children we expect to be loved but if things don't go our way or if we feel denial of an feeling or want we automatically attach a cost ... maybe not dollars and cents but a cost none the less. As adults we expect our loved ones to conform to certain demands and expectations that in itself is difficult but when we attach compliance to the cost of our love we've changed the rules of our "unconditional love."

We've all heard or experienced the famous "I love you unconditionally but ..." The reality of that is that it isn't unconditional love and unfortunately the listener never remembers the "I love you unconditionally" part. What stays in their mind and in their heart is "but ...." The father who berates his son ...."I love you unconditionally but how could not love the sport I love," the spouse who badgers their partner ... "I love you unconditionally but need to change your hair or how you dress," the boyfriend/girlfriend who uses the line ..."I love you unconditionally but your friends have to change or you're never here for me." All examples that we say and hear, sometimes to get our own way sometimes to get people to conform to our way of thinking. Why? Do we know better than anyone else how to run their lives?

When we hear ourselves talk like this it's time to stop and evaluate just what our true intention and motivation is.

So what is unconditional love.

Simply put it is being grateful that someone is in your life, for good or bad, and that you are happy that they are willing to share whatever part of their life that they can with you. That's it. Not asking that they always be there when you call, not denying affection because they disagree with you, not anything that other that what they can or wish to share. Easier said than done but possible. With practice and self-auditing we can find our way to experiencing unconditional love. God/Goddess do not judge our actions or our love and the love we experience from loving them is love we need to practice for everyone else in our lives.

I bid you peace and love during this Christmas season and my wish for you is that you may know the true joy of unconditional love both given and received. Thank you for being part of this loving community. Blessings.

CRYSTALS

Seraphinite

Seraphinite or "Angel Wings" is named for the white feathery veins of mica that run through the stone. It is only found in the area of Lake Baikal in Siberia. A relatively new stone only made famous in the mid to late 1800's. It is quickly becoming a very much sought after stone for it's metaphysical purpose and strengths.

Seraphinite is said to be the stone that allows the holder to contact their spirit guides and guardian angels. It is said to open the lines of communication between the Earth bound spirit and the Divine. Seraphinite is also known to aid a person to review their life path and to make the changes necessary to return to the path that leads to spiritual fulfillment. Seraphinite is also said to aid in the manifestation and transformation of your heart's desire. The stone's deep connection to the Divine makes it very useful for clearing and maintaining a clear, sacred space. Seraphinite also aids in establishing strong, healthy relationships by promoting a true sense of unconditional love. It is also an aid to experience astral travel.

Seraphinite has also shown itself to be very useful for opening and balancing all of the bodies chakras. This allows the body to discard old illnesses and create new space for healing. Seraphinite is also beneficial for healing and calming the nervous system and for returning the brain to a calm center.

A BLESSING for WINTER SOLSTICE

The celebration of the Winter Solstice is a very ancient seasonal celebration. It marked the end of the dark time of the year and a return of the light. It is the reason for a lit Christmas tree and being surrounded by the warm glow of lit candles. It is a time of renewed hopes and dreams after our season of rest and healing from the dark time of the solar year; from Samhain till the time of the Solstice.

"Universal Light, Christ Consciousness, be with us now,

Allow us to see the promise of new beginnings held within the returning Light.

Help us to gather into our being the strength and hope these new promises bring to us.

Teach us to shine with our own Divine Light."

Blessed be.

MONTHLY MEDITATION

"The Transfiguring Christ"

"Christ has ever abided in me. He has preached through my consciousness to all my rowdy and hypocritical thoughts. With the magic wand of meditative intuition He has stilled the storms in the sea of my life and of many other lives. I was mentally blind, my will was lame; but I was healed by the awakened Christ in me.

Christ walked on the restless waters of my mind, yet the Judas of restlessness and ignorance, deluded by the Satan of sense lures, betrayed in me the Christ calmness, the Christ joy, and crucified the Divine on the cross of forgetfulness.

Christ commanded my dead wisdom to come forth from its sackcloth of delusion and raised my wisdom to new life.

At last my will, faith, intuition, purity, hope, meditation, right desires, good habits, self-control, sense aboveness, devotion, wisdom - all these disciples obeyed the commandments of the Christ who appeared on the high mountain of my meditation.

O living Christ, present in the body of Jesus and in all of us, manifest Thyself in the essence of Thy glory, in the strength of Thy light, in the power of Thy perfect wisdom. "
