Tarot Cards
Calendar Spread
Begin by pick out a card to represent the person seeking answers. Use the a
Queen or King card depending on the one asking the question. Have the person shuffle
the remaining deck and split it 3 times with the left hand. Spread the cards
out and have the person pick 12 cards. Starting at the 9 o'clock position
place the cards in a circle around the table counter-clockwise from the seekers
position. Each card will represent an event or situation for each month of the
year.
Horseshoe Spread
Begin by pick out a card to represent the person seeking answers. Use the a
Queen or King card depending on the one asking the question. Have the person shuffle
the remaining deck and split it 3 times with the left hand. Spread the cards
out and have the person pick 7 cards. Place the cards in a semi-circle or horseshoe
pattern in front of the person asking the question.
Card 1 - Represents the past.
Card 2 - Represents the present.
Card 3 - Represents hidden influences.
Card 4 - Represents obstacles.
Card 5 - Represents the environment.
Card 6 - Represents a course of action.
Card 7 - Represents the potential outcome.

Blessing for the New Year
May the Divine Mother and Father guide and protect you and those you hold dear.
May you find your feet on your life's true path.
May you find peace in acceptance of life and the obstacles placed in your way.
May you know the joys and blessings of true friendship and may you find it
in your heart to help those who cross your waking steps.
May find and have love in your life.
May you be blessed with good health, bounty and the joys of dreams and wishes,
both fulfilled and those yet to be achieved.
May you spread your light in this world to make it a better place for all who
seek truth and light in their lives.
May your spirit soar to the heights of heaven and may your soul know it's
connection to the divine spark that resides in all living things.
May your journey show you all that is possible when your heart, soul and body
truly believe.

Smudges & Smudging
Awakening to a New Day
With the start of the New Year, it's a time to start to look at the daily
rituals we keep. Adding a blessing and a smudging to the start of your day can
help in shielding you from negativity and in connecting you to the divine spirit
that watches and guides us on our daily paths.
When you wake in the morning don't jump out of bed and get busy. Lie still for
a few moments, feel the life energy flowing through your body, reconnecting to the
waking world.
Slowly get out of bed and either light a smudge stick or light an oil burner.
Face the rising dawn.
Stretch your psychic cord down through your feet toward the Earth. Connect
with the life force of the divine Mother that sustains life. Ask for Her aid
in remaining grounded and for Her to guide your steps as you walk your path.
Stretch your psychic cord up from the top of your head toward the Heavens. Connect
with the Divine Father that guards and protects us. Ask for His aid in soaring
above the pettiness of everyday life and achieving all that you should this day.
Slowly stretch and sit quietly for a moment or two and consider all that must be
accomplished this day and visualize yourself completing the tasks without stress,
without haste and in the manner you wish to see them done in.
Extinguish the smudge or oil burner and remember the day is yours to enjoy.

Crystals
Garnet
Garnet crystals can be found in many colours. They range from red to brown to
green and yellow. Garnets are know to aid in stimulating creativity and passion.
Garnets are also used to develop constancy and patience; it can be a powerful stone
and should not be taken or used lightly. Garnets are used to aid with your
perceptions of yourself and others. Garnets promote a release of anger. Garnets
have also been used for experiencing past-life and future-life events. When
using garnets consider the colour and shape of the stone.
Green garnets are healing and they have an affinity. Red garnets aid in love,
moral conduct and re-kindling passions. Red garnets can help you to connect
to the energy of the heart and take control of your sexuality.
Square cut stones can bring about business opportunities and aid in filtering
out concerns that are not your own. Rectangular shapes bring about connection to
the earth and to intellect.
