Divination

Dreams

Dreams are a simple, yet easy form of divination. Since dreams operate on a different mental plane, they allow you to receive messages from your guides and let you peek into the script you have written. That's where some of the feeling of deja-vu comes from. You witness a portion of your script in the dream state and when you experience it, it triggers a residual memory that you recognize.

Before you go to sleep ask your guides to give the answer to a question while you dream. Also ask that you remember the dream. It helps to keep a dream diary as the answer may show up over a couple of dreams.

There are a lot of books on the meaning of the symbols in dreams. It helps to have more than one opinion as to what the meaning is. It's important that you do not pick a meaning because it is what you want to hear; try to pick the one that rings truest in you heart.

Crystals & Gems

Pearls

Pearls are one of nature's most exquisite gifts. Pearls are said to cure migraines and chronic headaches by being worn against the skin. They are also said to promote wisdom and contentment into old age.

Pearls should never come into contact with makeup or perfume. To cleanse pearls they should be soaked overnight in a salt-water solution and energized by sitting them in oyster shells. If pearls are not worn frequently they will become dull and unattractive.

Smudges & Smudging
Smudging for the Season

Smudging can be used to bring in the new season and recognize the ancient rituals. With the Summer Solstice (June 21st) fast approaching, it is time to honour the changing season. The Summer Solstice celebrates community and our place within it. We travel and visit more friends in the summer. It is a time of community coming together to enjoy each other and the bounty that life has to offer.

Gather outside in the open before dawn. Smudge around the area where you will gather. Smudge and cleanse each person as they enter within the area. Gather together in a circle and clasp hands, with thumbs facing to the left. (When your hands are clasped this way, you receive energy with the left hand, as it faces upward and you gift your energy out downward with your right hand.) Ground yourselves to the Earth Mother's (Mother God) energy and open your crown chakra to receive the Father God's energy. Feel Their energy combine over the heart chakra and feel it fill your body. Mentally open up the small energy centres in your hands and allow the energy flow to the neighbour on the right as you receive energy from the neighbour on your left. Fell the energy level swell and the energies combine to reconnect you with the group, your community, your support. Mentally give thanks to the Divine for reminding you that you do not stand alone on this journey.

End the ceremony by smudging yourself, others in the group and to the light of the candles which heralds the suns rebirth.

Dealing with Death

On this plane, death is a reality. This isn't to be morbid, this is to be factual. Recently in my life 2 dear friends have had family members pass over and another person is on life support. We all come to this plane for whatever time we write into our scripts, to learn one lesson or many, to have our souls grow and perfect, to make a difference and to experience.

However our society has taught us that death is something to be feared, mourned and is an end. The truth is our soul survives and returns home; whether you believe this to be heaven, the other side or just returning home to God. We mourn for ourselves not for those who have gone; it is our own "selfish" wish to keep those we love and know close; but even in passing they do not truly leave us. They will for a time be cocooned to soften the pains and memories and to heal the soul of the programming that it received here, but then they come to offer support and to let you know that you are still a part of them and in their heart.

It isn't wrong to mourn but I would like to suggest to you that you make it more important to you that you celebrate their life, their friendships and the lives of the people that they have touched and made better. Let them pass over with a light heart and pass freely when the body tires and gives out.

Meditation Thought for the Month - "The Light of Smiles"

"I will light the match of smiles. My gloom veil will disappear. I shall behold my soul in the light of my smiles, hidden behind the accumulated darkness of ages. When I find myself, I shall race through all heart with the torch of my soul-smiles. My heart will smile first, then my eyes and my face. Every body-part will shine in the light of smiles."

"I will run amid the thickets of melancholy hearts and make a bonfire of all sorrows. I am the irresistible fire of smiles. I will fan myself with the breeze of God-joy and blaze my way through the darkness of all minds. My smiles will convey His smiles and whoever meets me will catch a whiff of my divine joy. I will carry fragrant purifying torches of smiles for all hearts.
